The Landing Signal Officer position on a carrier is a prestigious one usually reserved for the best pilots. In charge of recovering aircraft and grading landings, LSO's hold their fellow naval aviators lives and careers in their hands. This cap honors them and features a very unique six panel construction. It's crafted from chino twill in service khaki and features a safety yellow undervisor and trim. The yellow pays tribute to the days before technology when LSO's used colored paddles or flags to coach incoming pilots.
